The original Alvis Car Company was founded in 1919 in Coventry and over the ensuing years became well-known for producing sports cars of quality and performance. In 1968 the company relocated to nearby Kenilworth and although no longer producing cars they have continued to provide support for Alvis owners right up to the present day under the name of Red Triangle (after Alvis’s inverted triangle logo).
The Alvis Car Company has now resumed production of the famous 4.3 Litre Vanden Plas Tourer as a continuation model, 72 years after the last one was produced, and it is being built to individual customer order in Kenilworth. Since starting the Vanden Plas Tourer project, Alvis have susequently offered several other iconic models for continuation production.
